Uusinta Publishing Company Ltd

Uusinta is a Finnish chamber ensemble. It was founded in 1998. Its members are young professionals of the highest quality. A few of the musicians are members of the best Finnish orchestras, while others belong to the most prominent freelance performers in their home country. The ensemble also has in its ranks a few top young composers, whose music has an important role in ensemble's repertoire.

Uusinta puts the most recent Finnish music in focus. However, they play also older repertoire – the ensemble's name means both “the newest” and “a replay”. Uusinta has performed on all main festivals for contemporary music in Finland, as well as in various other music festivals and of course in countless own concerts. Uusinta made its foreign debut with two concerts in France in 2004, and in the same year performed also in Spain.

Uusinta's regular line-up consists of wind quintet, piano and string quintet. Other instruments are added depending on occasion. As its smallest, Uusinta is only one solo player, but as largest the ensemble grows into a chamber orchestra.
